Two bits of news today; Klopp put pen to paper on a contract that will see him as LFC boss until 2022, a six year extension. Second, the Reds kicked off their preseason tour against Tranmere with a 0-1 victory. A number of youngsters looked promising today. It will be exciting to see what we get in the remaining eight preseason fixtures.
In other news, yesterday the Reds accepted a 15 million pound offer from Bournemouth for Jordon Ibe. The deal has a buy back and sell on clause that should have us come out smelling like roses no matter how he develops.
I have been critical of Ibe this past season and my sentiments are the same; he hasn’t taken his chance in the absence of Raheem Sterling and lack of competition otherwise. His decision making needs a lot of work. Hopefully he will develop well with the Cherries. Just don’t come back to haunt us!
